I have a 2014 freightliner with a DD13 engine and I e noticed that when fuel tank get half way empty the truck starts to shake or vibrate more the the regular, when I fill up the tank again it goes back to Normal any suggestions what it could be ??
,,,,by golly, that's a new one. There is no valid reason why a fuel level would make the truck shake. Years ago, all the trucks shook, so maybe that was true,,,we just never noticed. Sounds like a bad U-joint.
If the tanks are under the doors and up against the front steer axle springs then check rear steer axle spring hangers. See if bushings are worn out. As tanks empty out the weight on the front springs decreases and the ride height may rise changing the stress and angle on the hangers.
It shakes because it's a freightliner.. You nned to give more infor like only when its moving ? Or all the time ? Or only when idling .. Its called process of Elimination Could be engine related could driveline Could be the fact it is a Freightliner and that what their suppouse to do
Calmdown. Or men in white coats are gonna kidnap you, straight jacket you, and strap you to a swamper seat in a crapcadia and make you ride 3 coast to coast turn arounds. Lol!
