    Hello everyone,
I have a 2005 peterbilt 379 with a Cummins motor. The problem I am having with my truck is that it starts perfectly fine when it is cold but after driving for the day or after the engine gets hot the truck will not start. I once turned it off at a gas station and had to wait hours for it to cool down so I can start it again. Sometimes if I get a booster from another truck it starts. I just replaced all 4 of my batteries thinking that was the problem. I'm just really confused, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Injector pump, when it's cold it builds fuel pressure to start, when it's hot it can't build enough fuel pressure to start.I had 2 like this.

Hello. My truck use to do the same. Start when it's cold and refuses to start when it's hot unless I wait hours for it to cool down. I replaced the crankshaft sensor, changed my hand primer fuel pump, change the main fuel pump, checked all my fuel lines. None of that solved the problem. Now my truck is refusing to start cold or hot. I have to remove my boost sensor from the manifold and spray something flammable inside it and the truck would start. The truck has lost some power but it still drives for as long as it is start. No diesel comes back throuh the return line to my fuel tank. The truck is telling me fuel pressure feed low mechanical fault. It's a 2005 Volvo FM12 D12 engine. HELP please if someone knows this problem

Had a similar problem here. Wired in a direct starter button to the starter solenoid. We were in a bind and it worked. Then it would not start after loading tanker with fuel on the rack. Another expensive wrecker bill at 3 AM.
That was the only truck like that here but it belonged to a large company. They said it has happened before. Replace the starter. It had a sensor hid on the back side we could not see. New starter no more problems. It could have been a Paccar engine.
