Most of the LPG guys run propane in winter and asphalt in summer. I run LPG year round so I cant say what they do. I'm home just about every night and gross appx $900/week summer and $1300/week winter. But EVERYONE is diff. Depends on your area on length of runs. They do require a one sat a month volunteer day. Doesn't mean you'll work just means if they need you, you are available. An yes they do use HHG but on HAZMAT they add a waypoint in the middle to add miles for the restricted route avoidance.

Because I choose to run less and be home more. Lots of guys run more miles than me but like I said, I'm happy with being home almost every night. And like I said everyone is diff.

I also choose to stay propane year round. And it slows alot in warm weather. You can stay in truck all week and do alot better, or go liquid and do long runs. Whatever works best for you.

I'm currently with Venezia, I average $1,100 to $1,200 a week(5 day work week) $1,400 plus with 2 loads on Saturday. ......with Saturday work in average 60 to 65hrs in the week, I run hard and I'm on elogs and that's hauling cement, flyash and slag..

Boy hearing the Name Venezia brings back a lot of Memories for me. My late father was Driver of the Year for 2 Years out of their Closed Streator IL terminal in 1987 and 1988. Then they changed their Hiring area and he had to leave the carrier.

If you have to ask, then you're worried. Giving up a few strands of hair is no more difficult than peeing in a cup...
