volvo D12c 340 to 380

Need some Help..
I try to replace volvo fm12 D12C 340 to D12C 380, the engine look good when start at idle speed, but after a period of time the engine change to like missfire, lot of black smoke, the engine vibrate and comes with fault codes injector 2,3 unknow fault.
and my question is for both of 340/380 engine

- Are the fuel pump same?
- Fuel overflow valve?
- Fuel Pressure in fuel rail ?

 

D12C were supplied with Bocsh and Lucas injectors. They are not interchangable. So check for fuel injectors coding in ECM and remove cyl head cover to learn what injectors are installed.

On US market over 90% trucks got Lucas (Delphi) injectors, on EU market a half were Bosch

 

ic, can i just reprogram the coding with volvo ptt techtools..?

no, you cant, totally different fueling map.

means i have to replace along with the injector.

yep, it is easy solution. If it is not possible I have to desolder memory from ECM to change maps

I can, but I'm too far and it would be too expencive with shipping

what injectors do you have? Bosch ore Lucas?

today i replace with delphi injector and look good, but the engine idling only 1500rpm when the truck is on road..
