Can someone help me with some ETD explanations, I know you got to put the time you have in your 11, minus the time driving to final destination, add to subtract extra 1 hour for traffic/unexpected delays, and/or 1/2 hr break. Also subtract more time for showers, office work, etc. So if I have 9 Hrs driving total for the day, I minus 4 hours driving to destination, minus 1 hours traffic delay, (minus 30 break, shower, etc, if needed). So example: 9 hrs driving time on my HOS - 5:30 hrs to destination = 3:30 Hrs I have total in HOS driving time for the day. So if I Depart at 8 am my ETD will be 13:30 pm to destination. My questions are: You always put more time to arrive, so if you arrive as an example 12:30 and not 13:30 that's not a big deal? When pressing arriving and saying yes to last stop, Does the ROC knows i am there but will respect the time I put, as an example 13:30 to dispatch me, unless I call them? You need to call them so they know you are ready, in this case right? I hope someone with good knowledge about it to help me and extra tips are very appreciated, thanks.
add the miles up in each work flow tab divide that by hours = 50mph avg. so if you got 5 stops and 250 total miles to last stop. i add 30 min per stop. plus 30 min break. plus 30 min traffic. then i divide 250 by 5 hours= 50mph avg. so total trip would be 8.5 hours. but at stop 3. i start to trim down times better. i dont focus on detail times when i have a built trip like that. until closer to the ends.
also you need to learn the area or dc flow. if im going down to fl. i put in a etd around 3 or 4pm. most time ill get claims back up.
