Hi everyone. Well i just bought a decent old truck for a smoking deal so here is my second attempt at being a owner operator. I have burned my self out with yard birds and produce so i want to do something different such as pull a hopper bottom. I was wanting to know if there is any good outfits i could lease my truck on with pulling a hopper bottom near or around ft smith Arkansas. I already talked to oakley and they said my truck is too old. Also was wondering how the rates are with a grain train, and if i can get home easy in my neck of the woods? The truck is paid cash for and kind of want to keep it around my area so i can do as much work as possible to the truck. Any help or input is greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure we ran our trailer and authority, but he kept us in the wind. I just missed this cowmobiling or I would still be there

I miss hauling cows at times too. I can use my authority and plates, just don't want to invest in a grain train just yet. But yeah I've always gone between chicken/produce or toting a cow rack. Im burnt out with pulling these reefers, and the truck i got wouldn't be good for hauling cows unless i pull the 3.90 rears out and go with some 3.55s. I figured the truck would be good for a hopper bottom. Its a 94 fld120, 42" flat top, fresh rebuilt motor and tranny with a new clutch, batteries, and drive tires. I picked it up for only $4500.

I'm still using a 359 with a B model. 3.55 rears and double over it does what I want to do. It's paid for it's self several times. Dumas motor co will rent trailers I been told. I called One Step he said he was pretty sure they didn't have a spare wagon
