As I parked the truck (1998 W900) tonight I noticed that most of my warning lights in the "idiot panel" had stopped working. They all had been working earlier in the day and I just replaced most of the bulds last week. Now the only ones that work are the engine fan and flood light indicators. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I'll be looking at it in the morning, checking fuses ect... Could anyone point me in the right direction/shed some light on this issue?

    Thanks

Sounds more like a loose wire harness to me.

Mine blows the acc fuse and all of that quits working. It's sporadic so I am having a hard time tracking it down. If it is just the trouble lights and buzzer I would check wher the wires plug into the back of that panel. I know that in a 99 Pete it has two sets of 5-6 wires per set. One set on the left and one set on the right. If your is like the PB the wires that plug in on the right control what you are talking about. The wires on the left would control the lights that are working. Check and make sore they are still plugged in. If your speed, tach, odometer, voltmeter all have quit working also ( like mine) you may have another problem.

Ok, thanks so much for the responses. I know my speed/tach are still working, not sure about voltmeter. I'll check the rest when I get to work. Thanks again!

There should be a fuse labeled warning lamps in the fuse panel. This fuse controls that panel.

Surprisingly, when I got to the truck this morning everything was working perfectly. It may come back later, but for now no problems. Thanks for the comebacks.

I lost my lights on a couple things a while ago, when the buzzer stopped working I replaced it ($100) still didn't work: turned out to be that whole little panel had turned to s and was all good when I replaced that ($300 & it comes with a new buzzer). May consider taking it out, cleaning contact points (possibly exchanging with a known good one to verify) and reinstall see if there's a continuing issue.
