I have been approved to go to work for WEL and I live in Mobile AL I will be running over the road with them. I am wanting to see if there any drivers out there that can tell me some of good and bad fro them with this company. I have read the threads about them and still not sure how I feel about them.

So your not sure but your going to orientation? Well, I've heard mixed opinions. None too terrible but I think you can do worse, you have 13 years driving exp? Why are you going there? Not sayin wel is bad, just think you could do better

No not sure I am going to orientation. I have a few companies I am looking at and I can go to orientation but I just cant seem to pull the trigger on one of the companies. I need to very soon, like today, like now.

Go to YouTube and type .... John Vollrath......He has new videos everyday and is a WEL driver. Nice guy and nice videos.

Ask him anything when you reply to his videos and he will answer.

Southern Ag Carriers out of Albany Georgia thats the main other one and I think I am leaning in that direction. I would be on the Van Long Haul division out 12 - 14 days. Southern Ag seems to be a decent company from what I can tell.

WEL is pretty good, I seem them in Wisconsin a lot. Haven't heard much but it's largely positive. The few guys I talked to did say that WEL does a lot of short runs, but I wouldn't take that as gospel.

I worked there three months. Texas was where I lived, which they have a terminal there. Never saw it. You get run WI to PA, most loads are live load/unload for an average of a 450 mile run. Spend more time sitting at docks than driving, they are lousy at paying you your detentions and layovers. Steer clerestory driver. Move on....

Yes, most are live load/unload less than 600 miles
