i had worked 4 arnold trans; & back in september i came off the road do 2 a medical issue.the safety dept; told me not 2 drive the truck that they would have a driver come pick it up cause i wasnt medically cleared 2 drive.it took arnold 10 days to pick up the truck (it was parked in front of my house)2 days before arnold picked up the truck my city experienced a bad tornado(im from nyc)massive tree damage 2 cars homes, blown out windows ect. i went 2 check on the truck & notice a tree fell in front of the truck with the branches doing some damage 2 the tractor ( scracthes on the hood & wind sheild broken antennas) i made arnold aware of this(safety dept they said ok..... the next day the truck was gone... 3 days after that i got a call from arnold(safety dept telling me about damage 2 the trailer telling me the trailer was split on the top like it went under a low clerance & that i was being charge with a preventable accident....i told them i havent been in the truck since you told me not 2 drive it..i also told them i would of drove the truck 2 the nj terminal 2 drop it & u told me NO!!!! this is comming from the safety dept; i told them this would of been avoided if you let me drop it at the terminal... this is now on my DAC... but it on my DAC as just preventible it doesnt give the nature of the preventible...what can i do 2 either get this off my DAC or what can i say 2 companies that i apply 2 now that i addressed that medical issue cause im ready 2 get back on the road...i know that its on my DAC cause i have a copy of my DAC...WHAT CAN I DO????????
did you report the damages to any one else so you have more proof than you say u told them what actually happened otherwise it may be your word against thiers unfortunately....
yeah i reported this situation to my DM & the head of the safety dept; i dont know but i think im screwed?????
yeah your right ..... but i never seen any damage to trailer so what pictures???? i allready told them about the tractor....arnold is crying about the trailer not the tractor...
I think I read somewhere on here that you can contest a DAC report - or at least put your response on there if nothing else... don't just give in thinking you're screwed - if you don't try - then you're right - you're screwed
Wouldn't it be kind of interesting to know where that tractor and trailer went to after it was picked up from you (particularly the trailer). Straight to one of your yards, dropped off at a shipper, live load, etc. And on what date did they discover, or was the damage reported? Did you talk to the pick-up driver and discuss the truck damage?
no... i never talked to the driver that picked up the truck cause when i came out on the 2nd day to check on thr truck it was gone i put the keys under the hood on the oil stick...i dont know what that driver did when he picked up that truck????? i think he wasnt from nyc & went under a low clerance leaveing from my house cause there is a low clerance 3 blocks from my house with no sign on it....& if you dont know its 12feet 3inchs then youll go under it...you have to be from nyc to know this all the local drivers know this...i told arnold this & it still didnt make a differance..
