That all depends on what your needs are. TMC is all flatbed, as is I believe Maverick.
Werner, well just delist that one, and start with 4 pre-hires.
Swift may be the but of every trucker joke out there for good reason, but there are many here on this board that work for them and are happy. Pam, I haven't heard much about them.

Really, its about what your looking to get out of the experience. Is it just experience, and then on to another local gig? Or are you looking for something long term?
Swift has more freight, and better rigs than Werner, as well as NANA and OldNewbie, Injun, and a few others.:biggrin_25523:
TMC is more specialized with only flatbed Freight. SO you might sit more than with Swift..

You might also look at Roehl, they offer similar fleets as Swift (flat's, dryvan, reefer, and curtain side), though don't have half the amount of freight as Swift.

Well I know Maverick told me I would be doing flatbed for them. I would like to get a year experience and find something local. There are alot of companys around me that said they would hire me after I had my year experience. I want to learn alot while im out there and make some decent money. I definitly dont want to sit around alot I would rather be making money.
    Thanks for the information

I have worked for Maverick and can tell you that they never lied to me or even used ingenious ways to enforce policy. You may not always like the answer but your not suprised later on. They don't take any crap though, you will always log legal to +or- 15 minutes because they do check every days logs against the computer. You will do load securement and tarping the way they teach it, and only the way they teach it.

I have friends that have or are working for Swift and Werner and wouldn't go there from what I've heard. But that's only what I have heard not experienced.

Those 5 companies listed would "pre-hire" a monkey, if that tells you anything.
