I am going to say that Schneider National has the best training in my book.. Far as retention goes I would say that small companies probably have the best. Some small companies you may have to wait 2-3 years before an opening is available. I know I waited almost 2 years to get on at CrossRoads and they was great.. Only had 1 issue the entire time I was there, kind of a big one but it was very simple to resolve and i was on my way. Only had the pleasure and I do mean pleasure to work there for a year and they had to close down due to the increase in fuel they was not able to adjust fast enough. So, small companies would have the best and they are kind of a secret, you have to find them they are just not talked about much. Now also beware of small companies as well because some will try to rob you blind.

None of the companies that provide training have low retention . That's why they have to resort to training . They have so many drivers leaving before long . Companies with low retention attract experienced drivers with 2 or more years OTR .

Now just don't think because the pay is great that you are going to make anymore money then you are anywhere else.. I will give you an example. at Hartland if their is a storm in your area (road bad) and I mean in your area and it doesn't have to be where you are at at that moment, it could be perfectly fine where you are at. they send you a message to park, you have to park it and there is no but to it... So, you have to look into all factors when determining pay and the actual mileage you may get.. what it comes down to is that you run less miles but make the same amount.. I myself find it hard to sit around at a truck stop when running less miles and not find myself spending money. So, for me i made more money by taking less pay and running more miles to keep me from sitting around and spending money...
