Hello, I have 2 fender benders on my DAC, literally a fender "should not have called it in" bender. Ok, well it says DOT non-recordable? I know some outfits say no more than 3 accidents, but doe this mean the subjective accident? DOT recordable? non-recordable? Please no lectures on how hitting stuff is bad, I know this and I had eyesight issues and I did a year OTR and got a day cab making more money working M-F during the day. I just want more clarification, thanks!

    A DOT recordable accident is:

Any accident other than those is a DOT non-recordable.

Cool, I'm from VA too. Well I need to clarify, I did look up that information so my specific question is what do I say about accidents? Should I say I've never had a DOT-recordable? These were slow moving events, bad yes I know but how do I present them? I almost wonder if it's just up to the company in question.

If you're talking about what do you need to tell a company when you're applying, you'd just need to tell them that you had 2 minor, non-recordable accidents.

An easy way I was taught is "Do you need a hook, hearse or nurse?" An example: You're driving on a slippery road. You slide into a guardrail. Your bumper is now pushed in & rubs on your tire. You can't drive & need a tow. Reportable. >>>>But, you can get the tow truck operator to hook the bumper & pull it out. You can now drive away. Although you'll still have to pay for the tow. . Nonreportable... same accident, go figure.

Accident, incident, recordable, non recordable. You will have a hard time finding decent work with 2 on your record.

You didn't read or understand my post. I'm rocking a day cab man, new truck too with a 48 footer. I guess it wouldn't be a trucker forum if someone didn't declare someones trucking career as dead over an incident or 2 or 3.

Hooked on phonics? I have the 1990's on line 2 for you, they were wondering where their insult went.
