so I think I figured out where I want to get my start OTR (yes, yes, it's the worst company ever, they treat their employees like a number, blah, blah, I've seen it, but thanks for worrying over my welfare. :biggrin_25523: )...but my question is what is a recruiter supposed to do? I figured they'd be hard selling the company, telling me how GREAT I'll have it if they hire me, etc...sort of like an over the hill cheerleader...(I know, kind of a pathetic picture, but still). Anyhow, I contacted this carrier that's almost local (not gonna get me halfway cross country then tell me "You passed, you're hired, lease a truck from us or we KILL YOU!!"), talked to the recruiter by phone AND e-mail...and I seem to be doing more of the work than she is. :biggrin_2552:
Is this because I haven't signed on any dotted lines yet?? I'm trying to dig for information, and I kind of wonder if she's not off playing a rousing round of solitaire on her computer...not that it's BAD that I don't feel the hard sell, and it's kind of nice to not feel like if I open my mouth I'll blow smoke rings from all the smoke up the arse...but...weeeeeird, man. I'd kind of like some information offered before I have to call back and say "oh, um...I forgot to ask about xxxxxx" yanno? Am I supposed to have a tinfoil hat when the mothership lands??

When you get out there and it all goes bad they can say you never asked.
