Am just received my CLD A class license. Now I want to start driving and I would like to be home every day (but this is not possible for new drivers) Otherwise it could be OTR, What is good company to start? I saw werner, but they have training for like 6-8 weeks which is ######## for me. I have been driving tractor trailer 2 years in my country (Europe) but here in USA, they are not accepting experience like that. I am asking here because personal experience is so much better that reviews on the internet. So I am looking for any recommendation, because I don't wanna be ripped off by suck company, also what about cpm, how much is good for start? I am living in Trenton NJ I don't have special endorsements, just combo, air brakes and I can drive manual transmission
Where is your location? Do you have endorsements? Local jobs are available for new cdl school grads, if you live in the right location. CPM isn't that important; it's the accessorial pays that mean something.
There are lots of jobs for new drivers where you are home everyday. The bigger the city the more of those options.
Thank you for quick replying. I am living in centraj NJ (Trenton) I don't have any special endorsements, just combo, air brakes and I can drive manual transmission

Words of wisdom right there. Listen to this op, this is the difference between 30k and 70k/yr doing the same exact job.
