I was just wondering how owner operators out here besides my self work.

    How many days a week?
    Do you work on weekends?

I typically burn rubber for 2-3 weeks straight and then head home for a week or two. If it's time to go home and I'm a day away, I put it in the wind.
Unless a load goes home, then I take what I can get. But now I'm pushing hard till Christmas because I want to take an extended time off.

Not really. My current truck has 850,000 miles in 8.5 years. There's guys running 150,000 miles a year out here.

I ran between the north west and the ohio valley for close to 28 years. I use to spend a night in one of the hotels in yakima and 2 days at home. the run took 10 to 12 days depending. the last 10 years of it. I owned a 15 truck company running the same lanes. never took loads to the north east, south east or texas. didn't interest me to go there.

Year to date there have been 290 days in 2013. Looking at logs I've worked 136 of those days with a bunch of "10 hour breaks" at home on some of those work days. 75 days left in the year I'll be right around 6 months of actual working days in 2013. Last year I worked really hard - logged right at 7 months worth of working days. When capacity is tight I'm working. When it's not I'm at the house. Cause I'm running a business not a charitable organization.
