What would you consider the average behind the wheel training time?

My boss has sent me to driving school to get my class A, he told me today that he expects me to have my license by the end of November, at the one hour of training they give me a week I will have 10 hours behind the wheel and will not be ready. Am I incompetent or is he being unreasonable?

One hour is just getting settled in. I can do the same in 15 minutes with a good truck.

We had hours daily in our school time. I say about 5 hours a day hands were on the wheel doing something.

At RoadMaster we had 10 drives, 1 hour each. Some had more (if you got your CDL before coming)

I passed, as did others, 10 hours is short but doable.

Unless im mis reading your question.

The school I went to was a couple weeks long and it was just barely enough to pass the driving test but still needed years of experience. Even now every once in awhile I do learn something new.
