i;m with you on the moodiness around week two or three i start to get punchy ......thats when i know it;s time for a load home ....don;t get paid for resets don;t really care for em but if i am stuck somewhere for a reset away from home i allways get a hotel room especially since it is so hot right now as much an economic decision as a comfort based one
Fatigue isn't a problem with me because I have pretty regular hours. I rarely run at night after 9pm . Fatigue will be a problem with drivers with irregular hours such as being unloaded around noon then told to take a 10 hour break , start before midnight, then run all night.
It took me awhile to get used to sleeping in the day. I leave my house at 1500 and return around 0300-0400 been doing that for 5 years now and I still get tired. I don't have a problem pulling over for a 30 min. nap. RESETS? sure i look forward to em , every weekend!!
Driver fatigue is sitting at a shipper or reciever for a long period of time then finally they say yor not our hostage anymore and you go only to face rush hr traffic.nothing you can do but you are fatigued.
