I'm wondering when I should sign the front page of paper logbook?
At the end of day or at begin of day?
    Thank you.

I always signed mine at the end of my day.

End of the day. How can you "certify these entries are true and correct" when you haven't logged anything yet that day?

If you are running totally legal it should not matter when you sign it.

It does not matter. When you sign the log your certifying the log is a correct account of your time during that 24 hour period. If you sign it before your day starts or afterward in the end does not matter.

I sign at the end of the day, except the one time DOT wanted it signed before a level 1, I signed it then for him.

It says you are certifying the entries are true and correct,it doesn't say anything about complete. Therefore I sign mine when I start a new page.

You mean like when you have rewritten it to get all the math to work with the miles you drove?

I have had several state DOT officers tell me to sign my logbook and tell me I should always sign it before I start my day. In some ways this is like the vehicle inspection. Some officers want it done before the trip some after. I always showed 15 minutes before and after and filled my vehicle inspection part at the end of the day. This leads me into my biggest peeve about DOT. There is no uniform way to run! Some states have differing laws or ways DOT enforce them.

At the end of the day. Only are you truly obligated to be questioned by your log is when your signature is on it. However every log must be signed at the end of the day.
