So I am trying to find a spot for my microwave in my truck, it's a cascadia light weight, and I already have a mini fridge ratchet strapped down to my passenger seat, I thought about keeping the microwave under the bunk, but that's a pita every time I want to use it..., any one have any ideas where I can put it, and it won't become a projectile in case of an accident

I've seen people strap them on top of the fridge. Personally, mine went under the bunk.

I went to Walmart, purchased a cabinet that fit behind the seat and strapped it on top of that. LOL I had more draw storage in my light wt than in a normal sized truck I think. I would also see if the ship could pull that seat, gives you a heck of alot more room.

    Good luck and be safe.

I know this isnt productive, but lol I made the move this year, did me wonders!

    p.s.

when i had a lightweight, i had a walmart table turned upside down and ratchet strapped to the drivers side next to the apu controls. I was able to fit my tv, microwave, and xbox with misc junk on it. But i have no pics unfortunately...

forgot to add I was still able to lift my bunk. Huge plus so you dont always have to undo the table.

In these LW trucks, how wide is the bunk? I'm considering Prime to work for, but I am big man at 6'6" and 290. Are the bunks 48" at least. That wide I can live with. I am pretty sure 36" would be too narrow for me. Otherwise, it sounds like Prime is treating the drivers well with APU's in the trucks and willingness to pull the passenger seat to install a fridge, etc. Are drivers able to be comfortable sleeping in hot weather normally with the APU?
