back in april in another state,not the one i'm from.asked to search the vehicle.little did i know,an ex girl friend had hid a very small amount of meth in my laptop case.if i had know,i wouldnt have give the ok to search.they found it,was charge,fined,went to court,charge dropped to a mismeanor,if i plead guilty.did,payed the fine,had to do 40 aa meetings,no report to probation,just paid 40 a month till the aa is done,and im off,and mismeanor is surpose to be off my record.will dot or who ever does the background check fine it,been hired by a company,for training.start in 2 weeks.if i can get the rest of aa over.should i go on,or just forget it,and look for work else where?thanks.
Most of the time if you just tell them what happened they may be lenient but if you flat our lie you could cut your own throat.
you have some time from now till you graduate. what you NEED to do is find out if this really was removed off your record. till then, KEEP QUIET..... now if it is not removed, contact your lawyer. when you fill out applications, then you will have to note this. find out for sure what the misdemeanor charge will be. but typically, a misdemeanor should NOT be as big a problem as a felony.....
