With the passage of the new Elogs law coming down the line, I am trying to figure out what would be the best one to go with. We are a small construction company with about 8 trucks.

So who would you choose and why?

Why would a construction company need e-logs? Is the mandate going to be so rediculously burdensome that construction companies moving a dozer from one job site to another have to log it?

yes, if you create a log and drive more then 8 days in a 30 day period you must do it.

We have 9 trucks all equipped with XRS, it works well for us, you buy the monthly service and the ECM/Bluetooth cord, everything else you purchase what you like.

We run all 7" Lenovo tablets, and they have worked decent, we may go to a larger 10" tablet soon as we are looking for more capacity to allow us to input and store all of the maps, apps, programs that we use on one device.

Also, you can use a smart phone with it, we just leave all of the tablets dedicated to the truck they are in and then whoever jumps in that truck can input their code and all of their info/logs is opened on that tablet.

Really nice if you have some people jumping on and off different equipment all day long.
