wireless Surveillance Camera System

The last couple weeks, had a consignee punch holes in my interior walls. When presented with it, they said, "well the forklift operator said he didn't do it." and pretty much told me tough. We aren't responsible.

Some places will let you on the dock and when I am there, I go on the dock. Other places insist on not letting you on the dock.

My thinking is I want to put a video cam or two in the trailer to keep a track of what happens in my trailer for when I am not allowed on the dock.

Any suggestions? Needs to be able to handle -5*F temps too in a reefer.

 

how would you feel if your employer put a camera in your truck?

 

I AM the employer. I am looking to put the camera in my trailer. Since it IS my trailer and the idjits want to damage MY property.

They put camera's on their warehouses inside and out.

 

Take pictures of the inside of your truck before and after you load, tell them you're doing that, it might make them think.

 

Let them know in advance that pictures or taping is going to be done. You have the right to protect your assets.

What I am LOOKING FOR is ACTUAL camera systems that would work in the trailer.

Sorry if that is coming off as curt, but the same idjit operator punch two separate holes in my trailer at the same place and their management is telling me tough noogy.



So I am going to put a camera system in the trailer.

What brand, model, etc has anyone gotten experience with?

Otherwise, I'll just start to call CCTV and other security camera websites I am finding on the web.

 

Would you be able to get enough clarity from a standard dash cam?

Or should anyone even answer after the last comment?

 

By all means, I am looking for valid comments to this. Your first comment is pretty well a given. I asked a direct question. Sorry, but this is just pure stupidity on the part of an operator and it plain pissed me off. Second hole he hit an upright and damaged it. Manager just blew it off.

 

I'm just pointing the hypocrisy. Most driver are of the opinion that it's not ok to "spy" on them while they're working, however you want to "spy" on someone else in their environment.

 

Just an FYI, do not use a wireless system, get a good wired system that has anti-fog setup for low temp operations. The wireless system may be useless with the reefer unit and the noise they make (electrically speaking).
