With the way it is right now, what's the best way to go?

Ok, so my boy and his mom just moved to Cali, and I'm gonna get back in a truck one way or another..

    I have a few options:

Get on with a brand name co, with an O/O as a driver, start as an O/O myself, or sign on with a company called Chase, that will basically give me all their papers, auth, ins, etc, and I would essentially be "renting" their truck for about $400 a week..

Plaese give some serious answers on this.. Oh, and I'm pretty much broke, with no credit cards..

So for the Vets, gimme it straight..?

    Thanks!

I would drive for an O/O, assuming you know him and his operation. Haven't heard about 'Chase'. You make all the revenue etc, but pay $400 a week to use their truck/trailer? Years ago, I drove a cab and leased it daily for $35 and kept all the revenue plus bought the gas.

Since you have no money or reserves, you need to go anyway that doesn't require either. Even tough to do orientation and the time getting to a check being company driver with no money.

Stay at home and find a local driving or just a job. OTR is bad news even if you get lucky but without cash you are in trouble.
