Their web site says no money down. It doesn't say if there are other costs involved, you should call and talk to your recruiter. Maybe you could start a new post to keep everyone informed on how things are going for you... Good luck stargazer6365 !

I cant say for sure about any overhead issues. I know you get a couple warranties. The first is 30 days bumper to bumper, then a drivetrain warranty. Of course its a warranty, not a guarantee. Most of the L/O's I have talked to suggest taking $.10 per mile for the life of the lease. This is split between your reserve, maint., tire acts. etc.. This seems to set you up with a good amount of $$ to either help in a major repair, let you do the routine maint. YOU want, not just what thet co. mechs. say. And it can also give you a nice amount when the lease is over. More than just the $3200 completion bonus. One driver I talked to said she was able to get back around $12000 a year. And that was leaving about $3400 in the acts.( that number included the bonus) Of course it all depends on the lick you have with the truck and how good your MPG's are.

I talked with a recruiter and here are some of the things she told me:

-APU's are not available on used lease trucks.
-Pet policy of one dog or cat, under 40 lbs.
-You can purchase securement equipment on your own of through them.
-Fueling is done with a TCheck fuel card, then deducted from settlements.
-You must used their truck insurance, no option to purchase third party.
-You are responsible for health insurance, they don't offer any.
-Day one rider policy, 10 and up, one at a time.
-Run 48 States, but mostly East of I-35. Also into Canada.

Hope this is of some help.

Most important thing is how much are you making every year after all the expenses

Does anyone know if they have much freight going into or leaving California? I live in California and would like to know how hard it will be to get home.

i see they run a few different make / models of trucks, do you get to check them out pretty well before deciding which used truck to lease?

Also im wondering what kinda freight the flat drivers are seeing right now. Im a flat driver and with the market and all the past month has been so bad for me i only made 300$ the other week and im looking for an out. Ive really wanted to get into a truck of my own now that ive been running flat for 4 years and ive seen lots of ATS trucks and they haul some cool things. But with my company telling me their fighting for freight and its just not there its scaring me to go lease and have payments looming with nothing to haul.

Also im wondering about equipment, can you buy all of your own flat equipment tarps, chains, straps, etc, or do you have to buy from ATS?

Im not the kind of guy who sits in truck stops or refuses loads, ive been driving goin on 5 years now with no refused loads and im proud to say it. If they call me with a load my truck is started and warming up before im off the phone with my dispatcher. I know i can make a lease work if they have something for me to haul. I read all these horror lease stories on here but i have to believe its lazy truck drivers who dont want to work because they have the easy option to refuse a load becuase its short, or goin to an area they dont like. Not me, i hate short loads and i hate lots of places but i suck it up and get it done, because someone has to and it may as well be me, it's not like im not getting paid

Thanks for any more info and or answering my questions.

As for being a LEASE DEAL outfit ATS has very few complaints against them. Talk with some L/O from there time to time they are doing ok , steady work good miles and FSC.

Like any place check it out , get your feeling of the deal , ask advice and think it over before making the decision.

Do not LISTEN to the I KNOW A GUY who lived near my nextdoor neighbours 6th cousin and he lost his shirt BS.
