One can only hope! I'd love to see them get shut down as it's better for everyone at my company and in trucking all together. You want to talk about a broker operation that cuts rates and hogs the profit...there ya go. 'Course, that's just my opinion, but I've talked to several drivers who refuse to haul for them because of that.
Now let's just hope that the new upstart XPS doesn't attempt to buy them out with all the money that investment firm guy who has no clue about trucking started up.

Same here. Never even consider hauling it when I see TQL due to them not being honest about start and end points. In fact they once kept the charade going and we didn't realize the exact pickup point, was supposed to be Atlanta, turned out to be Braselton until they sent the rate confirmation and then I was like, well forget this. It's just dishonest....

We've hauled a fair amount of their loads. For the past 6 months however its been getting worse and worse. We get told the load is a few miles outside of a city and then we get final word it's 100, 200 or even 300+ miles away... and they expect us to eat the deadhead. Also, they won't give us load information (shipper and receiver). They will only give it to our driver once they call and speak with him. Maybe if so many loads weren't double brokered, they wouldn't be afraid someone would be trying to double broker it on them.

Well, I am no-ones cheerleader but my own. TQL is ok, not great but OK. The problem I see is ppl KNOWING what to expect from them yet going on like it is going to change... brings me to recall the definition of insanity... TQL does pay, or at least for me always paid on time. I had one load get hung up and they made it right, even included 18% apr interest. Back when I first started I got hung on a few loads that were booked ahead to find out they were cancelled when I arrived or double booked. Since then, I get cancellations in writing from them on each load and collect BUT since I started that, I have rarely seen a cancellation for a BS call like the fork lift incident. That I am sure was someone offered to do the load for much less and yes a particular broker gave you a BS reason to cancell but thats business. Sometimes it stings sometimes its great. I know we are all guilty of booking a load somewhere and then getting a much better one offered so as in business, we follow the money. Works the same for them too. Don't get upset if you made a bad deal, learn from it and don't make it again. Just remember TQL has alot of brokers, there are some I refuse to work with because they are boneheads, but I dont hold that against TQL as a whole.

Myself I try and avoid them, thats how I correct a problem.
I posted seeing if someone else knew why their days to pay were so long?
I can't see why it's been that way so long, must be more to it.
The one and only loasd that I hauled for them they paid ok their rates for the most part suck. I find the same load somewhere else for more money.

The thing is somebody at TQL is obviously reading posts about them and responding, not the first time I've seen TQL do that. Here's the way I see it. TQL has an issue with integrity - they have none. The thing about them posting loads that have start and end points no-where near what they posted on load boards when you get the actual confirmation is a widespread issue that everyone has seen, you can actually see it on a daily basis. I could probably call on a dozen of their loads right now and 8 or 10 of them would be lies...
I spend time figuring what I can do a load for before I even haul it. I spend time/money on a phone call haggling with the broker over the rate on what I thought the start and end points were. Then I get a rate confirmation and those start/end points are off, usually by a lot. I have wasted an hour of my life or more trying to book a load that turns out to be not what they said it was. The last time that happened, we cancelled my truck off the load and I haven't I hauled TQL since...
That was an hour or more of my life that could have been spent finding a load elsewhere from a broker who would have shot straight. Maybe I lost out on something better in that hour? Who knows. The point in complaining about it is that maybe TQL will realize this is no way to do business. Most of what we do is based on trust and I don't trust TQL. Therefore I do not even consider their loads. Which is really no loss for me.
I have hauled for them in the past and made good money, that was back before I took over booking my own loads, now I just choose to not ever waste my time with them... When I start seeing posts where guys are saying, haven't seen TQL do the switcharoo trick in a while, then maybe I'll reconsider. Not holding my breath..

TQL is funny I do a regular crosstown load for them on a weekly basis have been doing it for about 5 years now and I have pretty good relationship with a guy that works there now. He called me the other day and said he could not use me on the load anymore because someone had noted in my file that I had laughed at him. He was joking about not using me but I thought that was funny that someone took the time to mark that on my file.
