I've put probably 750,000 miles behind the wheel of VNL's and about 300,000 behind the wheel of a T600 (same exact cab, different ride than a W9 though) VNL's are the most ergonomic stress free driving in a truck I've ever had. KW layout of the pedals is all wrong, not near the leg room. Nothing I ever drove was as smooth as a VNL - 377, 379, Century, T600, nothing... ...but they do have way too much cheap plastic and don;t hold up long term as well as a Pete, KW - my truck has 1.1 million on it and no squeaks and rattles in the cab yet - knock on wood... And Volvo's are a pain to wrench - ask BBB how much fun it is to change out a simple power steering hose on a VNL lol..

No leg room? There's no cabinet behind the seat. You can slide it back reeeeally far.

We must have different seats. Mine are nice and comfortable but they don't slide back near far enough to my liking...

Guess so. Mine goes so far back I can't reach the pedals. Also goes back enough you can't close the curtain in that position. Period. It's got plenty of room

I have to agree with ramkatral.

Volvos have crap for comfort when it comes to the seat. I drove one and the seat was a rocking chair. Volvos do have electrial problem and the leaf spring for the air bags , snap off like tooth picks. They can not seem to stand up to road punishment in Newfoundland. :biggrin_25513:

I know a lot of the discussion has been about comfort of the ride but

Can anyone elaborate more on whether it's true that it's more costly to repair a Volvo still? Or whether Volvo's have more electrical problems?

If I were in the market, I'd get a kenworth t660. Sexy and aerodynamic.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
