Flatbed Freight Questions

I'm a new 48' flatbed driver with a ton of questions. I'll start with a few:

- What states have the most flatbed freight? What is the pay range, per mile, I should expect going into the area?

- What states have the least amount of flatbed freight? What pay range should I expect going into the area?

- What type of freight is the most profitable? Equipment? Steel? Lumber? . . . . . . ?

- Fill in the blank: "When it comes to hauling flatbed freight, I wish someone would have told me long ago that _______________________."
