    Looking at this truck but have no idea about the Detroit Series 60 365hp w/4.11. Would like some feed back. Truck would be used for Florida logging and lowboy (35tn) work. Off roading in my area is minimal. Also only planning to keep truck 2years then upgrading. Thanks

    Personaly I dislike Volvos and underpowered Detroits, but that is not a bad price tho. But if the truck checked out okay after a test drive and inspection, I'd offer them $10,000 cash and see what they say.

    2 things: The truck says "sold" on the windshield, and that aint no 70 inch sleeper

    that would be the 11 liter detroit I believe. not the 12 liter. smal motor for that sort of work but that's why it has those low rear ends. I don't know much about that work but I would think you would still want more motor.

    The biggest problem that I see with those specs is not the H.P. rating of the motor, it is the tranny. If you are planning on doing logging/lowboy work, you are talking about alot of off-road driving. In off-road enviroments, you would want more gears so that you can get way down low to power out of tough spots(like that soft Florida sand). I don't see the underpowered motor being a real issue as you won't be doing any hard pulling(hills) to speak of in Florida.

    NO WAY I'm buying a truck with a M11 throw away engine!! You asked for opinion, I gave mine. :D

    I would want more/bigger motor and more gears for off roading!
