landstar ranger
How is all the landstar drivers doing as far as making money and staying busy?
I have heard alot of mixed reviews...I would love to here the facts.

Have a friend doing the van thing for them, says average is down to about 1.13 with fsc!

Yeah he said hes going with schneiders choice program or whatever, says landstar sucks now.

I'm not a O/O but my cousin is. He is getting 92% of the load, which means he is giving the broker 8%. Is this a good percentage? He doesn't haul cheap freight nor will the broker let him.

8% is a standard broker cut, depending on the broker, but since the broker is still showing the 8% charge he must be a small time guy.

Yes, he does but I will say. The broker took care of him financially when the truck broke down.

My Brother drives for Landstar. He is as busy as he wants, and only drives the Southern US. He's doing some oversize, but mainly normal flats.

Thats what i keep hearing from 80%of the landstar crew....There leaving them and going broke...
Thats a shame...Back in the hey day,you could make huge money with landstar..
Back in the day alot of money was to made with landstar ranger.....
