That presents a very difficult choice. On the one hand I'm not particular about trucks AT ALL. Could care less about chrome or how long the hood is. I want RELIABILITY and the highest dang fuel mileage I can find.

I need a good truck, and am about to pay 5 times that in order to get one... yet I could go through 5 of those if I had to and still spend the same. I just don't know what to do. I could buy that outright and have no payments at all. I probably SHOULD until freight picks up and that might take a year or two... sure would make things easier if the #### thing doesn't take a crap in a month.

With the age of that truck, will companies be willing to put it on their fleet? I know a lot of companies have age restrictions for the truck, good thing it doesnt apply to the driver.
Is the truck in Kansas City? If so, let's talk... This might be an option for me.

See now luvs? You're in cahoots with 1POD... you're just conspiring to make me want it.

I wouldn't characterize the inside as mint though, looks a bit rough up there. I don't mind getting dirty, just don't want to 'feel' dirty even when I'm clean.

Where I live if I get a truck with a frameless dump bucket to pull and a van for the slow times I can work pretty solid here in Illinois. There are a lot of o/o that haul grain, coal and lime. The nice thing about o/o is you don't have to haul ash. The idea of a van and a sleeper is that sometimes it does get slow and then it's nice to have a backup. Plus have you ever seen 25 tons of frozen coal? Good time to hook up to the van and head south.

You talk as if you've seen the truck, you're one up on me. The inside is important if you're going to live in it. If it's that rough, call your decorator and see what can be done, Myself I would go "art deco" rather than "rustic" LOL

But, if you want it, go for it. I sure wouldnt want to stop an aspirring business person from fulfilling his or her dream. Not at all. And as serious as we all get about this stuff, I really hope you know when I am teasing you.:biggrin_25525:
