Just called a recruiter. BOY do they start with a high mileage!!

So, how are you Boyd drivers doing? I know freight is slow now, but how are they about looking for new loads for you? What are your average miles per week?

yeah they do start high. just started 3 weeks ago and im lovin it. The only draw back is the tarps but its something I can get over to make money. 1st week bout 3000 miles, 2nd week with 2 days of breakdown got right at 2000 and this past week ran 4 days home thursday night with 2000 miles. the miles are here you just gotta prove yourself with them. show you are willin to work and they will work you. lemme know what you decide. Boyd is a great company to drive for. Im lovin so far.

Why wouldn't the driver tarp and secure the load like the safety department want's you to? My thoughts is, If the safety dept want's you to tarp and secure a load a certain way, then that's the way it is going to be done.

it 's my oops.its not boyd thats pays rats.(i posted my response in the wrong place)the company that does that is maverick...they are the only company that mandates double tarping. (not double tarp pay)i've driven for builders transportation for 18 yrs.they are family owned and are some of the finest people i know to work for. you hear horror stories of drivers being shafted...we've had our dissagreements but its always worked out.i deadheaded 825 miles to be with my mother who was dying with cancerand told to take off as long as i needed and call them if i needed anything or when i was ready to return to work.how many companies would do that?
