I bought a General Lee from Radio Active a few months ago. Used it for 2 months and I was very unhappy with what I was told. The radio sounded like ####. I kept being asked to turn it down. I could hear drivers asking other drive what I was saying. I took it to a guy here in Pa. where I was able hear what my radio sounded like. The tech who repaired did a great job and now it is putting out just as many watts as before. But, sounds 1000 times better. crystal clean audio at 100% modulation. Save yourself alot of money and go to someone like Sparky or DTB CB Radio. They will treat you right and give you what you are looking for.

Radio Active is a joke.Below is a letter from Galaxy about his great mods.
I bet the Farm he doesnt tell his customers his mods are so bad it voids the factory Warranty. His life time warranty is only for the two wires he uses to volt the final and driver and the diode he puts off of the regulator for a swing mod.He can talk a good talk though should sell used cars would be great at it.
Unfortunately all radios modified by RadioActive automatically void factory warranty.

As per our last discussion with Michael (owner) of RadioActive, he is to make all customers of Galaxy "DX" Radios aware of this prior to any modifications. All radios sent in for repair having mods installed will be returned as is without notification. From Galaxy Tech.

LOL

Stay away from them if you want your radio to last long. Google them and see the bad results, and yes, I've dealt with them before. Been years ago, and the radio died hard years ago as well.

im guessing its personal choice but my general lee from radioactive radio gets high marks from almost anyone who hears it. drivers always asking "what are you running" etc. ive been heard from as far away as 21 miles in hilly to flat land. but some like RAR some dont. they are award winning competition radio builders but that doesnt mean much if YOU dont like you're radio. ive had mine 3 plus years and it sounds as good as the day i hooked it up.

Just curious here what award did Radioactive Win ? I could double my post totals here just pointing out that you are in the minority. I will now refer you back to Smitty's earlier post.

Ive known Mike since he was tuning radios in his parents front yard, that black list is for the most part based and supported on Revenge and Jealousy for like Competitors in the biz.So in many respects is actually very supportive to some that are listed on there.

For those badmouthing RAR* your just flapping their yap,no supportive
tech basis for their experience(s)and is most likely of troll nature based on jealousy and or envy.If you ever had an RAR radio fail and didn't return it under their LIFE TIME WARRANTY its YOUR FAULT and you have no just cause to attack them in such a cowardly manner.
For those tooting "Clays" (I20W/#370)horn
How do you think they became so well known ?
Yup,Quality CB sales/work,thats long since been history since Clay himself stopped radio wrenching and turned it over to his son.

ALL OF THE TECHS THAT PUT CLAYS ON THE MAP moved on and opened their own shop(if you live in this area you know the story not the gossip behind it)
For that stretch of road the quality and fair prices are had at the #349 in Ranger Tx.

Mike # RAR* still does what he has always done,QUALITY WORK with a Fair Price which he personally stands behind.
