Interfence in electrical system from another truck's CB?

Hello and greetings to you all, since this is my first post on this forum. I read this forum a lot and most anything I wanted to know I could find by searching. But something strange just happened that I hadn't experienced before out here and I wanted to know if any of you have any clue what this guy did.

I am out here in Illinois, east bound just outside of Davenport. It was just around midnight or so local time.

There isn't much truck traffic around and I start to slowly come up on a truck (I'm Crete and have a 62mph govenor) and when I got just a few truck lengths from him, he put on his flashers and hit the breaks a bit. I thought there was something going on in front of him, so I slow down too. He continued at this pace for a bit and there was no indication there was anything around him and several minutes go by and I decide to pass him.

When I got about to his trailer (I'm in the passing lane, he's right lane) he turned off his flashers and slows a bit more.

I go past him and just as I get side by side with his cab, my truck starts to go haywire. I have XM with an FM Direct connect, and it starts on this pulsating electronic beeping noise that cut in very strong and went out over my speakers, in cab. My Hi-Oil, Hi-Temp, Lo-Fuel lights came on, all my dummy lights came on basically, and all of the buzzes that sound off when you start the truck all went off too.

It all stopped after I got past his cab, so this only went on for a few seconds.

I figure the guy does this to people for entertainment, but what in the world does he have that does it? I wondered if he had some kind of super amplified CB system, which is all I can think of, but maybe he's a douche bag and has something that specifically does this to people.

In any case, I have only been driving for 4 years, but I have been driving cars since I was 16 and this is definitely a first for me.

Any ideas? It's not bothering me or anything, the truck is running fine so I think it was just interference. But any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
