okay cleaned it out. lol
They wrote a musical about me????????????????????????
-
Nana, his question was, "if I had one (cb), how would I contact the truck next to me?"
Yeah, if you are driving with a big enough company, you won't be pulling the same trailer all the time. Like otherhalftw said, drop and hook, you won't keep the same trailer alot.
Some drivers put their handle on the door of the truck, just below the window. But, then again, you have to be close enough to see it. -
You gonna put it above or below the one that says "Student Driver" ?

-
Yeah, whats up with that stuff ?
I would love to hear justification(s) for such ?
-
better check with your company before you add any signage to it

Allot of guys are listening to SiriusXM and don't listen to the cb that much any more. Most guys are nice if ya know a little cb lingo they'll respond.
Some will not respond if they think your a vacationing 4 wheeler.
A lil stuck up.
Some think that channel 19 is exclusive and will not respond to 4 wheelers or motor homes.I have had a cb since i was a kid so I talk there lingo.
When I warn of a bear ahead they say thanks driver. I think a little below on this site is the cb language defined so learn it and if they don't respond there are numerous reasons.
There are so many knuckle heads in every city trying to aggravate drivers that they get offended by non-truckers.
I really think cb could be a real good traffic help for everybody if we could lose the knuckle heads and be fun on the other channels too. -
Just say "Hey, turn your lights on" And every driver that hears ya will take a second look to make sure their lights are on. I do this sometimes with drivers who change lanes and leave their signal light on. I dont Identify with them, I just key the mic and repeat blink, blink, blink, blink, over and over and see how long it takes them to catch on, lol. It works to!
-
He knew he had his lights off. Some drivers think they are cool and ride with their lights off until the very last minute... Or until they see that bear sitting in the median. -
I mostly leave mine off because I get tired of the trolls and the drivers who can't keep their hormones under control.
In online chat systems (like IRC), you have ignores, bans etc. The CB doesn't afford you those luxuries, so one bad apple can ruin it for everyone in the area.
That said, I still keep a CB and turn it on occasionally.
