Unfortunately, my hubby can't. DUI's rank right up there with felonies for going into Canada. It would cost us a lot of money with no guarantee that he'd be cleared to go in there. It's too bad that is such a pain, because there are a lot of companies that run to Canada.

This sounds like they are trying to prepare us for when the government erases the borders and makes the USA merge with canada and mexico, they want AMERICA to become the north American union. I say the HELL with that,I'm an AMERICAN not a euro-wannabe. I only drive in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. If any carrier has a problem with that, then they can stick their job up their money grubbing euro-wannabe ###. I refuse to leave AMERICA,unless we are at war with canada or mexico. Then I'll be proud to go kick some kanuck/beaner ###.

celadon hi i'm joyride an i use to work at celadon as well. this place is a total joke no one there knows whats going on, they lie to u bout everything they can i almost lost my house working 4 them due to low miles an resetting twice a week. i was just babysitting their truck 4 them. so the game goes like this once u been there 4 a while yo miles will begin to slow due to the fact the new drivers get the 2500 plus miles, but when u ask them about why aren't u getting miles their excuse will b frieght is slow but they hire 65 drivers a week
Celadon drivers sit at pilot truck stop more then swift do, so if u have a family an u truely love them do not work 4 these dummies cuz they r just as bad as SWIFT plus they got the same colors. i just quit last week an u know i only made 11,000 dollars there an i would stay out at 5 weeks at a time an plz believe the kidds at burger king make more then a CELADON driver now i'm pulling tankers 4 DANA an so far so good an i'm getting 42cpm

honey as the saying goes " you aint seen nothin yet " I worked for celadon on 2 occassions. 06/04 to 03/06 and again from 04/07 to 01/09. the second time my miles really sucked. the last month I was with celadon my truck sat for 19 out of 31 days !!! then they fired me for "excessive idleing " had to run truck to stay warm in winter. I was 100% ontime pick-up & delivery but that didn't matter to them. they have even fired drivers that have been there for up to 19 years for the same thing. I wish your man the best of luck but, tell him to look out for the knife they WILL stick in his back.

info on Celadon
My husband will soon be leaving for orientation to drive for Celadon. We would like to know how drivers feel about Celadon. Most of what we have read isfrom last year. We would really appreciate some advice. Thank you so much.

Recruiters told me that having a TWIC card and Hazmat could dramatically increase your mile/earnings. Might want to go for that if you are going. I've been trying to find out about the avg miles too.
