That's true, unless there isn't another trailer at the dock. Some lower volume stores are live unload. Sucks about the miles though. That's really the fault of the planner and dispatch.

that's how I feel to is that they knew when they assigned this load that it wasn't due till Sunday 320 miles and 2 days to get there, I'm pissed because I would have rather stopped in Lancaster and been able to do some laundry and run to the grocery store, but now we have to sit here at the store for 2 days. And now they're saying not sure if we'll be able to get any detention for it because it was scheduled for tomorrow but our FM said to bring it straight now here that they would take it early and I got you stacked on another loadpaul_4lp and NotTheAverageTrucker Thank this.

Yeah, that sounds like bad news. I'm sorry y'all got stuck on that. I know being broke down was painful for ya. Hope they figure something out for you.

Everytime I've done a Lowes it was always a drop, had to do some yard jockey work. Nonetheless a drop tho. Call Ops and speak to the woman in charge of weekends I forgot her name. She used to be a driver. I was stuck like that on a weekend load before and she stack me out for whole next week. 3800 miles she gave me.
NotTheAverageTrucker, double yellow, CMBreen and 1 other person Thank this. -
That how this one was suppose to be, there's an empty sitting here, but the wont let us swap out trailer till their unloaders are here. We called Ops and they said that there is nothing they can do because the load is not scheduled to deliver until tomorrow and we would have to get with our FM since he is the one that told us to come straight down. They took the Corpus load off of us because of this reason I would have rather had that load if I knew this was going to happen it was 225 miles longerNotTheAverageTrucker and paul_4lp Thank this.

Also if you cook in your truck you may want to check this list first before you buy meat ...........

Every time I come off home time its a live unload @ some Lowes in Missouri. Monett has their own switcher truck. Others the rule is as soon as they break the seal it has to start being unloaded. Its their stupid policy like Michaels sears tsc etc.... big business doesn't trust their own employees from the crappy wages they make.
You all startin to sound like me last year.... I feel sorry for your corporates lulz.
Rule now:
if it runs.
Drive it.
Who gives a flip about that stop engine light.
Good.
Blow up.
10hrs of idling usually solves the problem for most of next day
