Con Way Truckload

The last thread about CWTL was deleted/removed for no apparent reason, so I will start my own.

I have been with CWTL since early May and can say it's a good company. The equipment is well maintained and the miles are about 5k a week (I drive team.) I drove solo for them for 3 weeks and was running about 2800 a week. If anyone has any questions I will do my best to answer them.

Newbee22, I believe they do hire out of FL. Call the recruiter and he/she can answer that.

I have a question about the CWTL - does everyone get a WL900 or T600 with a 86" sleeper for a Team...?? We have seen plenty of these trucks around but wonder if everyone gets to get this truck..thnx.

CWTL is replacing their fleet of T600's and T2000's with Cascadias and T660's. We drive a Cascadia, but I'm not sure on the sleeper size.

I was running about 2800 when I was solo, but I was only solo for about 3 weeks. Most of the solo's I talk to are running about the same.

The Volvo's are left over from the original CWTL before they aquired CFI. They are assigned to solo drivers for the most part, and are not being replaced as far as I know. I had one for a week and hated it because it had the Tempastart system installed. I would say they currently make up less than 5% of the fleet.

CWTL was a much better place to work, before the CFI BS, now it is just CFI with another name....very few original CWTL are still around, there is a reason.
