Well, everything else about crst hasnt been so bad since I've worked my way up to a whopping .32 cpm and for a while it was good until my dispatcher started giving us loads that were already late and it actually hurting our ontime rating.he was a pretty reasonable person up until his board shot up from 40 trucks to 60 and then he was always "too busy" to answer his qc messages in a timely fashion.on top of that my co driver quit and I was stuck being shot back down to .20 cpm running solo which they didn't explain while talking to the recruiter or at orientation.so then i couldn't find a co driver and had to suffer because he quit.not to mention they only ran me 1200 miles a week during that time.I have inquired about leasing a truck but they wanted me to last another 2 months when they were hiring people off the street with the same amount of experience as I had.when i put it my two weeks notice for the last week i was stuck in charlestown,WV.only six hours away from home.I stressed the importance that I had to be back at carlisle,pa my home terminal on the 9th because that was the only day my ride could pick me up.my dispatcher told me that he could send me down to atlanta then give me a load going back to carlisle that next day and i would be home on the 9th guaranteed.made it down to atlanta and was still there the morning of the 9th.apparently the dispatcher called out sick.the two crooney dispatchers told me that they wanted me to run a local run still in ga and i simply told them the only load my hours were going to burn were going to be for the guaranteed load i had to go up to carlisle to turn the keys in.they told me that was something i had to take up with my daytime dispatcher,i sent in a macro 40 to management and she basically hung it up by saying it wasn't her responsibility to get me home on time if that were the case they would be responsible for 1500 trucks.i asked if that isn't your responsibility then why do we even have a macro on the qc that lets us talk to you? she told me it was an unreasonable request that I expected to be back home on the 9th.even two weeks ahead of time and telling them before i even left for atlanta.but ya know, still thats apparently an unreasonable request.i finally made it back to carlisle on the 10th and had to wait til the 11th for my ride to come.i told them i was waiting at the petro right down the street in the truck until they came and said my last day was the 9th and i had to get out of the truck so they would have it available for somebody else.so there i sat at the carlisle yard for an entire day talking to the VP of the company after a prolonged discussion about ethics and decency he finally let me spend the night in the truck.my personal take on crst after 6 months is they definetly have room to improve.use that job for wheel time and just wheel time.don't expect any more from them but a bunch of crap and you will never be dissapointed.![]()

Hey Limpylegs; Does CRST use EZ-Pass Yet for tolls?
-
probably not, they are too cheap to outfit their trucks with that, although it sucks im going back to em, but im just gonna finish out my contract and im done!
-
No EZ pass, and tolls come from your pocket till you get reimbursed.
-
what darkpony02 said.don't make the same mistake i did and let a $30 receipt fly out your window without realizing it...ouch.crst hopes that sort of thing happens more.
-
they were pretty quick on toll reimbursements when i worked there. But yeah, they do hope that goes out the window by accident.
-
Nothing is guaranteed when hauling freight. They can't magically make runs appear to suit your needs.
-
There's something wrong with paying someone for a day of work when they worked an entire week. -
