The New FFE Driver Academey
I am here at the new FFE Driver Academey. My back ground I have drove for 2 years in the past but let my CDL go, big mistake on my part. So I did my research and found the new FFE driver academey. All I can say is WOW!! They put you up in a dorm facilities for free and its right next door to the school. All they want from you is one year to drive for them. They take nothing out of your check, NOTHING. All they want is that year now if you leave you will owe them the balance. They are not a puppy meal for drivers they want you professional drivers. Also they weed people out that cant shift or cant back they are evaluations everyday. They tell you straight up if you can't hack being on the road away from family then dont wasste their time or yours. They only allow 25 people per class not 60. For any rookies out there please look at this school if you want the best. Training pay is 455 a week once with trainer and remember NOTHING is taken out for training, see if you get that from anybody else.

Word to the wise: You have experience, and that puts you at a certain advantage over the other students. Resist the temptation to "give advice" and approach the course as if it was your first day in a big truck. The staff will almost certainly know beforehand what experience you have, and the whole experience will go smoother if you "do it their way"...
- Log the way they want you to log...
- Shift their way (don't float 'em - use the clutch! Ugggh!)...
- Pretrip their way...
- Resist the temptation to say "That's not the way we did it at (Insert company name here)
- On the road, don't freestyle - do it their way..
- On the range, back their way and if they want you to idle around the course, idle. No throttle means no throttle....
- Have an open mind - you just might learn something new! I know I did!...
Good Luck and keep posting here!

If it is the same driving academy they used to use it is anything but new. They only had 1 road instructor that actually took the time to teach properly, and the backing was instructed by 2 former drivers who were on loan from a prison facility.
FFE is still a classless outfit who tries to act like they aren't a mill. Watch every dime on your paycheck and keep up with every mile. Also if any repairs are done be very careful to watch your check as 2 weeks later they like to claim they didn't get receipts.
