More beat up on the outside is fine for your first truck. Might get away with a couple of minor dings till you get used to it. The important part is the mechanical.

Swift hit us a couple months ago. That lady over there that deals with road accidents is a horrible person to work with. Took over a month to get a dime to fix the truck.

Swift didn't hit you, an idiot driver in a Swift truck did.

Did you try making a formal complaint to Swift Corporate in Phoenix? Or did you just complain to those around you that have no power over the situation?

Oh yeah, you're right, Swift didn't hit the truck... ????

The woman obviously had the power, her name was on the papers when we finally received them.

Does anyone know if Swift is taking students right now? I'm having a real hard time trying to find a school. So far with lying recruiters, hiring freezes and private schools trying to money me to death, job hunting has been nothing short of a nightmare! I turned in an app with Swift yesterday but I didn't know what their hiring situation was right now as far as students go. Maybe, Maybe, Maybe!!

What part of the country are you in? Some areas might be hiring more than others. As far as I know Phoenix is.

I know they're taking students. They got back to me in a day or two. Recruiter named Rich was pretty upfront. You have to get your permit in your home state before attending their school.

Been there done that!
I have worked with a recruiter from every Training company there is, and all but Swift have been terrible!

Now with swift I had a start date for June 1st, that got canceled because of a "paperwork snafu" on the recruiters end....... I have now been rescheduled for June 29th in Lewiston ID. The typical wait time to get in a class here is about 4 weeks!

I am happy to wait for this school date with swift because the other companies can't seem to do anything right! I feel a lot more comfortable with Swift, and I can get my CDL from my home state of WA instead of UT.

I am loving this forum so far, there seem to be a lot of recent newbs that are willing to offer informative advice as opposed to the typical Swift Bashing that I have been getting elsewhere
