    tv question

i have a couple questions on tvs. first i would like a flat panel tv or something to watch on downtime that i can also plug a video game console into. i drive for a company and the T700 that i drive has a big hole for an old style conventional tv. i was going to buy a flat screen instead. it has a plug in the back for a cig lighter style plug. and as of right now i do not have an inverter. so please take that into consideration when answering. back to the questions then. what tv do you use that would meet my qualifications and second question is how can i mount it since we can not drill holes in the truck. or do i even need to mount it. thanks in advance.

I have a 19 inch Vizio that has been in my truck for 3 years or so. Before moving into a new truck with a TV mount I used plywood and 2x4s to build a mount that could be bolted to the existing strap slots in the old style TV hole in my truck. Just cut the plywood to fit the hole. Don't pay for the truck stop 9V TVs. You can get a bigger TV and small 300-400W inverter for less money lots of places.

Yes. I have a five year old cheap road pro 400W one. It will run both my TV and Lap Top at the same time. The flat screens actually use less juice than the old Tube TVs. I hook my lap top to the TV in dual screen mode and can surf the web and watch a video file at the same time.
