A guy at work took a piece of ply wood and put it down between bed and the wall on the emergency exit side and used a TV wall mounting kit to mount the TV to the ply wood. I would be worried about it falling over but he said he has never had any problems with it.

I've thought of doing similar for my laptop and printer (printing oversize permits), probably gonna build it on next hometime. My company truck is a 660 but my 22" fits in the tv cabinet spot.

Whatever you do... don't use pressure treated plywood. They put some strong chemicals in P.T.W. and I wouldn't want to be breathing those in the cab. :biggrin_2554:

I want to mount somthing and then hand it up. It seems like the only option for this can set up. I just don't want to damage the truck or walls because it not mine. WhT I mean by damage is screw holes then they look and charge me when the time comes for me to part way and go local. Decisions decisions.....

that's what I've done for my 30" flat screen in both a Volvo and now a freightliner. to solve the tipping over issue I also made 2 "L" shaped 'feet' on each end of the wall that wrap around the front and back side of the mattress and hold the wall firmly against the mattress and the wall behind it. I also bought a spring assortment from home depot and spring loaded the tv wall mount to the plywood to minimize vibration using the small tight springs in the kit. before using the springs behind the wall mount occasionally the screws would vibrate loose. putting the spring loading on the screws keeps tension on them and they never vibrate loose. 3 years + now still working great and never fallen over.

it's a little work to get it built and mounted but the end result has been satisfactory and I can move it from truck to truck with standard size mattresses

I am an old man and I am in love with Velcro. I use it everywhere. My phone, my TV, my printer, my tablet, even my reading glasses are secure using the industrial Velcro stuff.

My only problem is that my father uses it also. I am becoming him. Pray for me.
