That looks like quite the set up. I have a lil usb stick that gets DTV and Analog signals. I bought it for around 50 bucks from amazon, and purchased a usb extender cable that allows me to leave the stick connected to the truck antenna. Works great. I can leave the laptop setting on a shelf and watch tv, a dvd, whatever and change channels with the remote that came with the usb device. If I've got the truck running, I usually run the sound through the stereo.

I do have a amplified indoor antenna. If I'm out in the middle of nowhere, or the tractor I get stuck with at the time doesn't have a working antenna ... It gets used, but thats pretty rare.

That's pretty cool. I hadn't heard of that device before.

I got my coupon for the converter box last summer, went to wally world and picked up the $49.99 box and got it for $9.99 with the coupon. Next, I had a boatload of kids at home, they are all grown up now, and most of them have moved out and started their own lives. But they tend to leave a lot of crap laying around. I found this ten year old portable dvd/vcr player, just laying around in my basement. It had a detachable LCD monitor, that was designed to be strapped to the back of one of the front seats. It also had RCA plugs so you can plug a playstation into it. I put the two together, and this was the result. The photo doesn't do the picture quality justice. It's not hi-def, it can't be coming through analog RCA jacks, but I tell you, it's ###### close. The monitor does a great job with the aspect ratio too. Wide-screen shows fill up the frame of the monitor and it looks perfect. It's only a 7" screen, but it's big enough for me, especially since it's sitting 24" away from my face when I'm using it. Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone on a budget.
