Is Express-1 teams only? I, too, would like to get into Expedited and would like a bit more info. Thanx.

I drive a straight truck for a fleet owner. I also am a solo driver so it isn't all teams out there, depends on the fleet owner. Your income however will depend on how you run. I turn down very few loads. I have had runs with as few as 18 miles loaded to as many as 1100. Just depends. Express-1 has treated me fare and they never have hassaled me about my home time. If you have a good work ethic and stay in service a decent amount of time you can make money doing this.

Vendor, can you give me any tips on how to get in with them, either solo or team? I have been checking in to a lot of the Expedited companies, but they all require you have your Class B, and I cannot find much info on how to go about getting it. Most everybody does Class A, and I am working on finding a trainer for that. I already have my Permit, and would be happy as a lark to get my B and go with Expedited. Any info you could share would be so greatly appreciated. Do you know if any of the Fleet Owners will take on trainees? I have no issues with being on the road several weeks at a time. I understand drivers wanting the long hauls, but if you take the short ones, you never know what may be waiting at the end of that one. I would rather take the risk there is something at the end of that, instead of sitting around waiting for the BIG one. I have been trying since June to get that one break where I find one person willing to take a risk and give me a chance at working for them and prove my worth, dependability and dedication. Thanx for the info, it is much appreciated.
Terri

You can get on with a Fleet Owner- but you will need to run Team to make any money.

How do you go about finding the Fleet Owners to get on with them?
