Pet Peeves

I have a few things that irk me when about trucking, my fave is when dispatch rushes you to consignee and they say oh well come back later. (Hurry up and wait right? haha)

Lets discuss the pet peeves we all have!

Shippers that say... Yeh, it's right there on the bills. They recieve from 7-3.

So you sleep right down the road from the reciever...only to find out at 5:30 in the AM. They recieve 24/7

And you were only 45 minutes...from your house. All night

I always go and ask, all they can say is no, come back in the morning. I have been parked in a dock and been unload at the night shifts leisure a bunch of times also. It may take 4 or 5 hours hours but your empty by morning ready for the next load or home sleeping in your own bed with your wife, girlfriend, or boyfriend.

I've only experienced the opposite where they say they are open 24/7 only to get there Saturday am and find out they are closed weekends.

Normally, I would have drove straight in to the customer and camped out in the driveway if they were closed. I even suspected this customer would be open.

But...there were other things on my mind. And we won't discuss those here LOL

It still sux though

Slow moving vehicles in the middle lane refusing to move over for faster traffic coming up from behind.
