Texas O/O?

    I want buy a truck and trailer. Any suggestions on what to buy and make money at? I have flatbed/specialized experience and van/reefer experience. I propose 3 scenarios: Buy a truck with a reefer, flatbed or some sort of specialized trailer like a lowboy with a flip or a super low stepdeck. Which will make me the most $$$? I'm running team with a friend of mine $1265 a week for each of us. 6100 miles. Maybe we can buy two trucks or run team on one. Any suggestions?I understand there are risks and hastles involved. I'm just wondering if there is an opportunity to make better money so I can afford better health insurance, etc.

    Another operation I was curious about is moving trucks. I see these guys using a special trailer that pulls behind a pickup. The trailer hooks two bobtails end to end. Any way to make money at that? Seems appealing since the equipment is cheaper.

    You're making $5 grand a month now, not bad. As an owner, you'll pay much more for health insurance than you pay now as an employee. Just be careful if you start a new business. A lot of people think that you just start a new business and the customers line up and you get rich just like that.

    A lot of people have asked questions about business start ups, and the general answer seems to be DONT. (Various reasons depending on who you get answers from) But I am guessing that is why not many replies...

    I guess the only thing I could suggest, if to find out your customer base...What I mean is in the beginning they are not going to come to you, you are going to be going to them. Learn what the biggest demand is for.
