First off, good luck to you and I pray for your speedy recovery.
I am due for a knee replacement but they only last 15 years if you're not all that active, so for me every orthopedic surgeon I have talked to said I could expect 5-7 years out of one unless I decide to be a desk jockey, talk about a death sentence. Technology keeps advancing in knee and hip replacements so I'm praying that they come out with something better sooner than later.
What has your doctor told you as far as limitations and restrictions go ???

he said for now i can climb in and out of the truck and drive. will have to rehab for about 3 months before going back to work. nurse said hip replacement is not as bad as knee, should last about 15 - 20 years. safety department told me i can train and have trainee do all work OR sit at home untill surgury.

You'll have to use the steps instead of jumping off the trailer!
