Any info on this carrier? I have an interview tomorrow. Only knowledge I have of this company is that their yard is about 2 miles from my house and that their Volvos and pups look pretty well maintained. Any info on pay rates? Benefits? Looks like it would be linehaul btw.

Did the interview, got a great impression of the place. 51 cents per mile is the rate, there are no raises on the mileage, that's everyone makes. 19.50/hr is the cap for dock work, starts at 17. Good benefits and new 65mph Vulvas are their tractors. If I get an interview scheduled with Southeastern I will post their info. I want to make an LTL info thread, with their pay rates and all that.

I think (though am probably wrong), that they are Union? I have a former coworker who went to them after he got his A license. He hasn't been back to us yet. So they may be good, he left about a year ago.

They are non-union. But they do have bidding based on seniority, kinda like Conway Freight.

I have a bud whom humps for them...has the nightly flip out of the dome to W.Memphis, does a motel and flips back.

Not a bad check BUT tough on time in the 'lil Volvo....got to keep it firewalled ...barely have time to water mule and grab a joe to go or be late. Houston calls W.Memphis when you leave so the can plan people on the other end. Get real pissy if ur late.

Not for me but he likes it ( the check )

Hey MisterG, I assume you are with Teamsters?? I have a question, I just got offered a job at YRC in Louisiana being a casual p&d driver part time. He claims hes cleaning house over there. But anyways, am I suppose to get in contact with the local union over here? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Plus, would the teamsters know what the pay is b/c im kinda confused, even the TM doesnt know. Thanks

The local (Union office) will contact you about joining, have no fears there. They will squeeze you for the dues.
The company will let you know what the wage scale is.

I know I've seen their lil vulvas asking for forgiveness when pulling up a tiny (hill?) in Northern Florida. I can't imagine one of them going up Vail lol

I mean, I got a Sterling with a Mercedes engine (for crying out loud) and I blew his doors off like he was hauling the statue of liberty

It's way more money though, money brings peace of mind.

Make sure you are truthful in your application. They WILL check everything.
You will be dismissed if they catch any lying.
