I was given the name and contact number for my driver trainer, he lives about 150 miles from my house. He has home time this weekend so I might get a chance to run home for a night as well. I find out tomorrow after he gets loaded.

I have a friend that is in the glass division and he must be unlucky because he seems to have to go into NY from time to time. Better him than me. I hate even going over that bridge.

We are heading out Monday or Tuesday. No need to sit around Laurinburg for 3-4 days so I packed my #### up and went to the house. Instructor and I will coordinate over the weekend. Not sure how the schedule will work out. Glass drivers stay out a couple of weeks at a time. The minimum time with the Instructor is 3 weeks so maybe I'll get a run through the house some time in the next 3-4 weeks. Then I'll have to do a final evaluation in Laurinburg, then chase down my truck.

Over all the training has been first class. The people in Laurinburg are great and I'm happy with my decision to pull glass (so far).

Best of luck to you! My advice to you is to make him have you do as much difficult backing and maneuvering as you can while he is with you. Especially when you are tired at the end of the day and there is an easy pull through parking spot....force yourself to try the hard...blind side spot.
You will be glad you did when you are by yourself. I hardly ever backed when I was with my trainer and it was quite the challenge when I was on my own.

pee wee didn't allow pull through's with me, I was good at backing tandem axle trailers, but not spreads. He always picked the worst spots to back into...
I can put a trailer anywhere now, especially those crappy spots at the truck stops no one else can hit late at night.

I can do it now...but I had to learn on my own...which is fine.
