Cant speak personally for glass but I hear it can vary greatly depending on what glass your hauling. As for regular flatbed I average 2400mi/wk. We are all electeonic logs so while you may see weeks higher than that the e-log will cause your average to stay in the 2400mi area. Some drivers claim they run 3200mi but then neglect to say the following week they ran 2000 or less because they didnt get a restart.

My husband started with Maverick in the flatbed division in about April 2011 and was in orientation then on his trainer's truck until October 7, 2011. My husband's mileage since he got his first truck on October 13, 2011 (he just got into his second truck today because his first truck was in the shop 5 times since he got it):

    2,196
    1,739
    2,017
    1,878
    2,042
    1,865
    1,052
    2,796
675 (broke down most of that week!)
    1,791
    1,497
    2,015
    1,554
    2,838
    1,731
    1,845
    1,702
    2,211
    2,395
    2,299
    2,105
(this week will also be low because he was broke down from Tuesday until today, got transferred to a replacement truck today - will not know this week's mileage until next Wednesday or Thursday)

    total miles - 40,243
average miles per week - 1916.3333333

Without talkin to your hubby I cant begin to understand his low miles unless he's on glass or a dedicated account. Regular flatbed he should be doin better. Gotta utilize your hours efficiently with e-logs. Too many breaks or stops or too long of a break will hurt miles. Of course if he's happy with those miles then great keep on keepin on

He's not much below average...get him in a good truck and he'll be fine.

Anything over 2,000 miles is good, 2,500 is better but it just ain't gonna happen every week...his last few weeks show an upward trend.

Glass division...I'm hearing rumors that Maverick may be getting at least some of their freight back, its only rumors...but it didn't come from a Maverick employee.

Like I said, hubby's truck was just put into the shop for 5th time, now into a new truck so I expect his mileage to go up as long as the new truck does not have any problems. He was getting discouraged because of all those transmission problems, I just told him that they are not his fault so I do not have a problem with him having lower mileage since he got breakdown pay for each one. We both are hoping that this new truck is MUCH better. I helped him transfer his stuff between the 2 trucks so it would get done faster so he could get on the road earlier (if possible since the shop had to fix something on his trailer and switch his CB to the new truck). I saw a handle at the front of the bunk of the new truck that I did not remember seeing in the old one and asked him about it, turns out it made it so that he could lift the mattress area to get to quite a bit of storage. He later looked at the bunk area of the old truck and found it also had the same storage area that he had never known about which had quite a bit of stuff in it that a driver that must have had that truck before him put in there. He even found a receipt from May 2011 for something in there.

I think glass works out to about the same. I have been at just over six months and average around 2500 paid per week, but I stay out a minimum of two weeks at a time so this will give you two extra days on some pay checks. As Dan said in an earlier post so guys will claim big numbers because of a week that started the Thursday before. I had one pay check with over 4,000 miles on it. The week before was very short.
